DS160128COLED and Supply Voltage in UART Mode

I'm using a DS1610128 OLED display in UART mode powered direct from the 3.3V on my Raspberry Pi Model B.

The display is a little faint so wonder if I can power the Display on 5V whilst the UART pin is receiving signals of 3.3V from the

Raspberry Pi.

 

Connections would be as follows:

Rasberry Pi              Digole Display

                                      5V

UART TX                    Data

Gnd                            Gnd

 

The 5 Volt supply would be separate from Raspberry Pi, only both ground would be common.
