HI  EVERYBODY

i  recently bought  an  DS320240CTFT 56T . I would drive it with a pic18F46K22 and i workin  basic language from MIKROELECTRONIKA (mikrobasic pro for pic)

i wrote a short test program for establish a first contact with the display using uart at 9600 bauds 

i tryed many and many parameters combinations and display's  commands without success .i downloaded all notices and documents i found about this display but may be not  the good sheets

display and pic cpu are 3.3 volts powered . once powered the screen display scanning colours followed by communication parameters , version and welcome and noway  to get more !!

what i need is

first , i would know the idle state of tx wire

 2nd i wish get some examples of basic program using this display to undersrand precisely syntax of display's commands

 I think you first need to check the wire connection, you need connect TX pin on your 26K22 to Data pin on the module.

2nd, if you have a USB to UART converter, you can test the display module with it.

3rd, connect the TX and RX pin on your 26K22 together, to see if your 26K22 can received what it send out or not.

i used the user manual  last update oct , 19,2015 , is it the good manual for my display ?

I DID TRY AN USB >UART BRIDGE AND I CAN DISPLAY WHAT I TYPE ON PC's KEYBOARD  , THAT'S OK

BUT.....

I CAN'T PASS COMMANDS LIKE "CL" : THEY ARE TAKEN AS TEXT TO DISPLAY

HOW MAY I TELL TO DISPLAY THAT WHAT I TYPE NOW IS A COMMAND ?

I THINK MY DOCS ARE INCOMPLETES, IS IT NOT ?

 You need to send a NULL (hex value is 0: 0x00) character to tell the "TT" command: it's the end of the string which you need to display :)

yes ,trying with the display connected to the pc via usb /ttl brige, i finally found that a null character switch to the command mode and TT to the text mode

now i have to solve a problem wich seem to be a hardware problem

the display module is directly connected to the pic18F46K22 on uart1 on RC6/RC7  next step to solve..........

 hi every body

just for tell you that display works fine and this display is very nice : i will include it in my next projects

so, now i have to "attack" the touch screen and i probabily will be back with another question about it

glad to bought this display !!
